Bloodborne launch trailer

As someone who has never played any of the souls series I am legit excited for this game. I have zero basis to be excited other than the hype generated by everyone on neogaf/press, the art direct and the obvious mass appeal due do the previous games being so well done.

I think I am in for a real treat ( let down?) come launch day because I have such a lack of knowledge that I cant even form an educated guess on what this game will be like.

You'll most likely be let down for the first couple of hours. But the game will pull you back hard afterwards.

When I first played Demon's and Dark Souls I thought "Man! These games should have Castlevania in the name!" In my mind, the souls games were the 3D castlvania I always wanted. Now, Bloodborne will take the cake in that department for sure!

I played Demon Souls and Dark Souls but only finished Dark but can't remember anything of their stories really.

I'm wondering how the story will be told in this. Will there more cutscenes? Does the protagonist have a backstory?

getting a launch trailer 2 weeks before the actual launch? Lol'd.
MOTHERFUCKING UMBASA

anyway why are they playing octodad, Yoshida please.

Well, I've mostly been on a blackout for the game, but if it is like it's predecessors, the story will be told mostly through item descriptions with some dialogue here and there. There also probably won't be much backstory to the protagonist.

Because Miyazaki is a master storyteller in the medium of games, the character has a vague backstory and no dialog. The storyline is told through dialog from NPCs, visual cues in the world, and written descriptions of items and characters. That's the proper way of storytelling in games and we are all #blessed that the most important designer in Japan practices that technique.

nah, I'm pretty sure that it's going to be like any other souls game.
read every item description and talk to all the NPCs until you exhaust all of their dialogues, if you don't do that you'll be missing a lot.

Hmmm, just re-realizing PoE is releasing the same day as Bloodborne...holy shit, day is stacked.

EDIT: 2 days after, but still...

Shame that the shimmering made it to the final version. Everything else looks really great though.

Please let this be a joke post.

Did they spoil the ending of the game at the end of that trailer?

Hunter falling to his death, and a baby crying(his baby?)?

can't tell if serious or trying to poorly criticize #OurLordMiyazaki technique

There is no one way to tell a story.
