Bloodborne PSN Pre-Load has started

I'm so hyped, preordered long ago and just recieved a mail that my copy is coming tomorrow! Then I remembered I am in the middle of moving, and my PS4 is in a box somewhere in my temporary apartment..

And then I'm travelling this weekend, never been this unexcited about going on a weekend trip.

Next week though, I will play this for real!

Also: first post on GAF, yay!

EDIT: crap, first post and it went to the wrong thread.. I have like five bloodborne GAF-threads open, this post was supposed to go in the OT!

I'm new to PS4 preloads...will the "Day 1 patch" be included in this preload or can I expect to immediately download an update once the game releases (in this case essentially required for normal play). If the latter is true I may have to just wait until tomorrow.
 
My CE shipped from Amazon, but it's showing on UPS's site as being delivered Wednesday. As I work from home tomorrow.... if it stays this way until tonight before I go to bed..... it'd be crazy to.....

Think I'll be dropping my Prime come July. I dont order nearly as much stuff as I once was, plus out of the last 7-8 games Ive picked up from them, Id say around half have come a day late. :/
 
Man, hearing all of the weird shipping issues with the CE really makes me glad I canceled mine and went digital instead. Now if only the reviews would come out so I could stop my irrational worrying about the quality of this game...

It should download and install both the game and the update as two separate downloads. That's what happened for me yesterday when the pre-load went live.

Digital if you know you'll be playing for a long time.
 
I've had that since last night..my issue is that despite having a 100mbps connection PSN downloads incredibly slow..and a 30gig download will take a while.
 
My pre-load just finished. Never played Demons souls or Dark Souls and only played like 20 minutes of Dark Souls 2.

Obviously the only thing i can do now is get drunk and stream it and probably throw my ps4 out the window.
 
Finished pre-loading. Took about 5 hours in all. Now I just have to kill about 4 and half hours before I dive into this.
 
Glad I checked my PS4 when I got home. The preload didn't auto start for me. Im not sure that PS4 even does that. But it seems to be going fairly fast. Did the first 5 GB and the patch in about an hour, so I should be good when its time to go.

As far as I'm aware, you have to turn on pre-load. Either through the webstore and click on the 'Download to your PS4' button, or on your PS4 in the store. Once you've bought the game, you have to drill down into it to enable pre-load.

No idea why this isn't automatic. It's a huge benefit for buying games digitally at launch.

You have to open the game on the US account when it unlocks but before your non-US account tries to verify the game otherwise it defaults to the EU timer. I had it happen with AC Unity. Annoying glitch.

Oh damn! I missed the unlock by 2 hours then. Well, live and learn.

So, if I delete and download again, would it be alright? The annoying thing with mine is that I had my US account set as the default, but the timer on bloodborne still changed from like a couple of hours to a couple of days. :(

I'm not sure sorry, like I said it only happened on AC Unity and that game was huge so I just waited out the timer instead of trying to download again. It could work, just make sure you don't log in to your EU account until after Bloodborne unlocks.

Let me know how this goes, my significant other is currently very displeased at me. Eek.

I did notice the timer switching back and forth between the two yesterday, this has never happened before.
 
I ordered a physical copy (EU), just hope it gets delivered early so that i can play the shit out of Bloodborne all day.

Yep same problem here. There's no way I want to wait until Friday.

Ive decided to delete it and re download it as I am at work today anyway, I'm hoping it will be unlocked automatically as it's not being downloaded as a pre load
