So, my old 5 year old trusty wireless pair of headphones finally died last week and I decided to buy some more. Requirements were 1. equivalent or better audio frequency range, 2. a good brand (sony/bose/sennheiser), 3. wireless and 4. less than £200.

I managed to get these for £99, got £20 off using a voucher:

Now, they're fantastic. The sound is superb, and the bluetooth connection is flawless on my android phone, PS3, Vita, Raspberry Pi retro console, radio. No drop outs, great sound, all good.

Only...I'm having serious issues with the one main thing I want the pair for, and that's my PC. The audio is terrible - it's clear, but it's constantly skipping to the point of it being unusable, as if its constantly buffering. I've tried the following:

- windows 8 and windows 10
- default microsoft drivers and the toshiba stack (same on both)
- using only one connected device via bluetooth, then trying four at once (same regardless)
- variety of different software
- a 99p cheap dongle and a £10 ASUS 4.0 bluetooth one which only managed to make the stuttering audio occur every 4 seconds rather than 1. still shit.
- ubuntu - works perfectly on this. the fuck

So the issue is clearly Windows. I've searched around on google, but nothing seems to solve my issue. I'm getting kinda pissed off now.

Help would be awesome if anyone can.

thanks

edit: trying out the specific bluetooth dongle drivers now, maybe that would help...

edit: it worked. fucking windows. what a thread.
