Bomberman DS

I hope there's a traditional control method, because I can't see controlling Bomberman with a stylus.

Not to be a douche, but do you know how much more awesome Bomberman would be on the PSP with that giant wide screen? Shades of 16-player high-resolution Saturn Bomberman!

100 stages in single player
8 player multiplayer off a single cart
Out May 26 in Japan for 5040 yen

That is all :)

Quality!

Single cart multiplayer allowing for 8 people is great. Hope the multiplayer stages are good.

"What's that? You say you want a control method where you have to yell directions at Bomberman via the mic, and must use the stylus to ignite the tiny wicks on the bombs? okie dokie!"

I think the game still keep on using the traditional control method (D-pad) to move

more info here
- 10 area 100 stages, boss is available at each stages
- touch Panel is to choose items
- VS mode has
"Normal mode" (traditional one, the last survived will be the winner)
"Crown Mode" (See who get the crown first)
"Panel (?) mode" (something about painting)

Single cart multi is all I needed to know. Call me crazy, but I'm honestly just as (if not MORE) hyped about this than other big DS releases (AC, Metroid, Castlevania, etc).

Did the Saturn version support 16 players? Damn.. I thought it was like 10 or 12..

And how much is 5040 yen in US dollars? Hopefully not $40..

More like $50, but Japanese prices (usually) include taxes and are still generally higher than US.

Is this like the mode in GC bomberman where your bombs cause surrounding tiles to change to your color? Or is this a touch screen thing?

Also, touch screen for selecting inventory is awesome. Item switching is one of the few things every game could use a touch pad for.

Yes, I am a douche who has never even touched a DS much less played one, but what is the range for single cart multi? Could I be in a classroom and play with people at all corners of the room or do you have to be within a few feet?

Just hypothetical, but I am impressed with single cart multi.

Seriously though, I never met anyone that didn't enjoy the battle modes.

About 60-100ft. Meaning anyone in one room will be able to communicate fine.

can i import this game? will it work on my US NDS? cuz i would like to import a few more games. thanks

Yes, you can import DS games and they play fine on all regions of the hardware. I'm not exactly sure about wireless compatibility; probably you'd have a problem with a multi-card game trying to mix different software regions, but it should work fine for single-card games.

i actually played a full game of super multi player saturn bomberman once, it was glorious ;_;

Its games like this that really make me want DS to go online.

I'd like the DS to go online for everyone else's sake, but it won't do much for me, at least not as of right now. I have no wireless router, and no broadband internet connection. So.. yeah. Screwed.
