So I just got around to see this for the first time since my initial watch, which was almost 30 years ago.

And yes, I made The Big Lebowski thread from a couple of weeks ago too.

I'm just trying to watch things I think I remember liking in the past, but only saw once. I really liked The Big Lebowski, but I think this film is even better. It doesn't hurt that it has a cast that's absolutely stellar.

I just feel like every scene is incredible. Even when they don't technically transition perfectly into each other, but that feels intentional. Everything about this film seems masterfully shot. The scene where PSH tries to show Marky Mark his car, and the reaction after the kiss, just great storytelling. And how we stick with him in car beating himself up.

Just a fantastic film and I hope this thread gets some of you to watch it again. It's worth it.

And it's always great looking at Juliane Moore.

I don't think I'd label it a comedy. I think it's more of a drama.

Kind of like how's some think First Blood is an action movie, when it's more of a drama.

Aye, definitely not a comedy.

Amazing movie, equally funny in some parts, sad and depressive in others.

Philip Seymour Hoffman was amazing in this, shame that we lost such a great actor
