Pilot Wings

Hey there. I was looking through my wishlist to add the new James Bond games and the new Lord of the Rings game to it (which you don't have up by the way, just letting you know) and I saw that the new Pilotwings game was cancelled!! How can this be?! I know Silicon Knights was supposed to do the game, and is no longer a second party, but does that mean that they aren't gonna do the game period?! I was highly anticipating an all new glorious Pilotwings game. Will it be made any time soon (and by soon I mean like within 6 months of Revolution launching)? Any information about this game would be great. Thanks.

Matt responds: Yeah, we cancelled the game in our release dates section. Actually, Silicon Knights was never going to make it. Factor 5 was signed up for that one, but it is not working on Revolution software, to my knowledge. If a new Pilot Wings game is in development, it has to be by another studio. It very well could be. Regardless though, the version we knew about is terminated and so we've removed it from the section.

Well if it ever appears I hope it's more like the chilled-out SNES one, rather than Pilotwings64.

And what's that about Factor5 not doing any Revolution software? I'd be surprised if they've given up on Nintendo as well. Although maybe Nintendo just went "No, we don't want another bloody Star Wars game. Pilotwings or nothing!"
 
I hope Borat isn't banned, but damnit if I wasn't hoping for first screens or something like that coming into this thread.
 
Well looks like I was the only one, but I assumed Borat meant it in a "What the hell happened to it!" way.

Pilotwings is a tech-demo/launch sort of game, I never expected it to suddenly appear this late in the GC's life.
 
Chill with the banning I was dissapointed but Happy.
Pilot wings needs WOW Factor. It achieves this by being a lauch game.
I will be dissapointed to not see it on Revaloution.

It doesn't excuse an exclamation point instead of question mark. That said, if Revolution features a gyroscopic controller and doesn't launch with a PilotWings, there will be hell to pay.
 
I don't give two shits about Pilotwings, but I vote that this punk be banned anyways.

Misleading thread titles are commonplace for crappy, unmoderated forums, which GA is certainly NOT.

My Point Exactly if there is a virtual like Pilot wings I will buy Revolution at launch.

When you are creating the title with an exclaimation mark usually means the game itself is coming or in the works. Please try to avoid this as much as you can.

It makes us get excited or get our hopes up then break our spirits only to find out because of questions and comments in the post.
