Boss Level trailer (directed by Joe Carnahan; Frank Grillo, Mel Gibson, Naomi Watts)

Wait did they just use Cap's line at the end of the trailer. Ohh.....ok. I'll wait for a streaming release to watch that drunk one night.

Saw this about 6 months back-shout out to my boy KiKi, dude is a complete animal and I mean that in the nicest and best way possible. Not a new premise, think Edge Of Tomorrow, mixed with Crank. It doesn’t take itself seriously, that might be an understatement. It was funnier than I expected, toeing on almost silly in a few scenes. There is a scene regarding a hit-woman and a gun belonging to a certain individual-writing this, it still makes me chuckle.

I'm a sucker for Groundhog Day movies. Edge of Tomorrow & Happy Death Day and great little offshoots of the concept. This looks daft fun. Reminds me a bit of Scott Pilgrim. I'm in.

E: Quick caveat cos I feel like I'm doing EoT a disservice. It's a fucking incredible movie.

I'll watch it for Frank Grillo. Underrated actor. You know he's good when he made the Purge movies watchable.

Was pretty good for what it was 👍😎

Really funny as well, certainly for my tastes. Like Groundhog Day, but with weapons

nothing world changing and you will have seen most of it before, but does what it says on the tin, the premise is cool and the film is a lot of fun

one of those movies out looks like they had a blast making and Frank grillo is as solid as ever in it 👍

I like frank grillo. I wish he would have been punisher after watching the purge 2.
Wow. Never thought of him as Punisher but it is so obvious now you mention it. He was essentially playing Frank Castle in The Purge: Anarchy. An anti-hero of sorts. Jon Bernthal was great, but I would have loved to see Grillo have a go at it.

Watched it a while back. It's pretty fun. A lot of the effects are low budget CGI blood splatter, but it works in the movies favor somehow.

It sucked. Mel Gibson is a heck of an actor though even working with nothing. I hope he starts directing more movies it’s a travesty we are deprived his talent.

I loved it. Feels like something you would have seen Stallone or Schwarzeneggar star in during the early 90s. Frank Grillo kills it in it. Dude deserved to be a bigger star IMO. I will watch anything he is in.

The scenes where he kept growing closer to his son really resonated with me. I can’t lie either ....

The way his son would fall asleep in his lap on the park bench and Roy would just watch the world end brought a tear to my eye

Definitely one of my favorite action films to come out in a very long time.

I will say Gibson was under utilized as the villain but the focus was always on Roy. this was Frank’s show through and through.

“I am Roy and Roy has done this.” 😂

I just finished. Groundhog day meets deadpool. Fun stuff. Also listened to the director on Adam Carolla's podcast last week talking about their struggle to get this movie made. Glad they were able to do it. Grillo killed it. Dude is 54?, movie was made 2 years ago, and got down to 4% body fat. Insane.

I disagree this movie sucked. I thought it was good for what it was. I agree about Mel though. One of the greatest. It's a shame he went of the rails and we lost out on all the movies we could of had.

whoever wrote that 30+ minutes of unbroken exposition after the intro shouldn’t be allowed to write movies. I’m continuing assuming it’s padding to make it movie length. also because It’s kind of funny hearing name actors mouth such awful dialogue

Could have or could've. The movie's enjoyment relies on the premise if you don't like it then you won't like it but given the concept it was executed extremely well and the best part is the how its exceptionally meta in it's progression. The movie is essentially a player's journey to perfect a glitched speedrun.

Solid entry in the time loop genre. Had fun the whole way through. I did think the ending was a bit weird though... He had to relive the day 1 more time without a redo? Sounds cool, but why would that be the case, and wouldn't he still have to enter the machine at the end or the day, which would once again make him relive the day 1 more time?
