- Carjack a Mercedes, keep the hostage for thirty minutes, let him go
- Shootout with the police, throwing grenades, pressure cooker bomb
- MBTA Officer is killed
- Suspect 1 is killed in massive hail of bullets, may have detonated an explosive device that was on his person
- Suspect 2 is on the loose
- Reports of a number of undetonated explosive devices laid out in the streets, bombers receiving foreign military training

All told, this has been going on for like seven and a half hours.

And somewhere in there, some poor guy was caught in the wrong place at the wrong time, eventually made to strip, then released...and CNN stayed with THIS part of the story for a really long time.

...I'm never going to sleep again.

yes, they killed cops, got into firefights in neighborhoods, threw bombs from windows, stole police cars, one of them died from being shot to death by the cops and a bomb vest, and the other is hiding and there's supposedly bombs planted all over the place

also a naked man, his uncle, and a missing college student all turned into ghosts and rode away on horses to escape from LEOs

This was the DA statement and press conference earlier, may be off since I just jotted it down, but is generally what I heard across those sources:

-something at MIT (Building 32? led to shooting of MIT cop (died))
-carjacking in cambridge, kept hostage for 30 minutes
-robbery attempt at 7-11
-another carjacking at some point (?)
-car chase (?), grenades thrown out, explosives maybe of some sort

MIT classes cancelled. MIT says he sacrified to save the campus.
