Damn. Why would Chechnyans bomb the US? I don't know much about that situation. I guess the US supports Russia against Chechnya, but still, wouldn't you rather want to bomb the Russians? They are your real enemies.

Wrong, the US has often supported Chechnya against Russia. Former presidents Clinton and W. Bush have long assailed Russia for their heavy handed tactics in fighting Chechen Islamist factions.

Russia has long said there is a global terror network there but the US only cares about the Middle East. They've said that they need to crush the terror before it spreads, but the US has always threatened them with cut in aid or possible sanctions etc. And yet, the US has been drone bombing Pakistan and Afghanistan with ease the past few years, no matter the collateral damage.

And now you have possible Chechen terrorists having been in the US for over a year and studying here and living here, plotting these attacks.

yes, they killed cops, got into firefights in neighborhoods, threw bombs from windows, stole police cars, one of them died from being shot to death by the cops and a bomb vest, and the other is hiding and there's supposedly bombs planted all over the place

also a naked man, his uncle, and a missing college student all turned into ghosts and rode away on horses to escape from LEOs

This was the DA statement and press conference earlier, may be off since I just jotted it down, but is generally what I heard across those sources:

-something at MIT (Building 32? led to shooting of MIT cop (died))
-carjacking in cambridge, kept hostage for 30 minutes
-robbery attempt at 7-11
-another carjacking at some point (?)
-car chase (?), grenades thrown out, explosives maybe of some sort

-suspect #1 (black cap) dead
-suspect #2 (white cap) still on the loose

Also note that the first suspect was run over as #2 tried to escape. According to news sources now.

Well, now this makes even less sense. Perhaps their actions aren't connected to Chechnya and they're just disgruntled nutjobs working on their own. There doesn't seem to be any point to bombing the US as a response to the Chechnyan conflict.
