I think you should go to sleep man. 26 hours straight is not good for your physical or mental health.
I agree. I was supposed to hit the gym an hour ago. I should grab some zzzs . Hopefully they get this guy. Can't believe he got away.

Don't go to sleep!!! You want to be awake for the conclusion! Or you'll come back to page 500 of this thread and have no idea what happened!

It's not worth it. Stay awake!!

Another thing to catch up on: for a while people have been blaming everyone for Monday's attack, from North Korea to al-Qaeda to right-wing militia to white supremacists to lone nuts, etc. One Moroccan guy got put on the cover of the NY Post for no reason and received harassment. One missing young man of Indian descent (Sunil Tripathi)was up until a few hours ago being accused because he looked slightly similar to one of the suspects, with people even accusing his family of being in on it because of crazy conspiracy theories about coded messages. People claimed that his name and the name of another man were given out on the police scanner and even the networks tried to talk about it.

All of a sudden the AP reveals that it was actually a pair of Chechen brothers born overseas, and claims that they have military experience. That's pretty crazy, because if there's anyone that more radical Chechens hate enough to bomb, it's Russia.

So could the younger suspect (at large) get a relatively light sentence by saying it was all his older brother's fault and he was pressured into it? That's obviously the line his lawyer would take.

Nope. Killed a cop. Committed an act of terrorism on US soil.... thats pretty much a one-way ticket to a death sentence.

Huh, the younger brother ran over his brother? Maybe i heard that wrong.

DCX

He did. Although from the accounts of the story he drove through a police baracade after his brother threw a large smoke grenade at the police. So it was probably heavily smoked and hard to see. Also his brother was charging the police, might have been an effort to let his brother escape.
