True, and I think it just makes me more certain that these folks are unstable (not right in the head). Being of Chechen origin myself, I really did not want these guys to turn out to be Chechen. Even though I don't personally identify as a Muslim or Chechnyan, the fact is that I was born into both, and any associated profiling/discrimination could potentially affect me.
