No they weren't. It just bubbled up from the internet, it was never on the police scanner. No one heard it, there were like a hundred people listening to it on the thread last night.
It was the police on the scanners who said it was the missing brown student. Reddit posted it a few hours prior as a POSSIBLE suspect and were asking police to look into it.
Someone who knew the suspects was being interviewed by CNN via Skype. In the shelf behind him he had a huge pink dildo...
