Boston: One dead, one captured, city re-opened

Seriously. You don't need military presence to hunt a 19 year old with a gun- which is all he is now.

"Alright guys. This military shit isn't working. We need less guys to find the perpetrator."

-But sir!

"I SAID FEWER MEN, GODAMNIT!! AND MAKE SURE WE REPLACE THOSE FULL AUTOS WITH NERF GUNS!"

Anderson Cooper: Did he smoke? Did he drink?

Is that really important? @_@

At this point they are just filling time. Nothing else going on so just ask stupid questions to whoever is willing to talk about these guys. Doesn't matter if it is relevant in any way.

Man, people on the phone that were in the house right by the firefight are from St. Louis originally. I bet they thought St. Louis is where they'd hear shooting, not Boston.

Also Brian Williams is classy as fuck in handling interviews.

Are you sure that is all he has? Also, once you start injuring/killing the police, expect the full force of the law to come after your ass.

The full force of the Boston PD- yes. Maybe the FBI as well. But DHS rolling through town in armored vehicles and closing down businesses and forcing people to stay inside their homes is too much.

I do think shutting down the city was a bad call. I think it sends a bad message to other bad guys. If a couple of kids can hold an American city hostage, what could an organized group of equipped adults do?

That's not what is happening though. These people aren't threatening to blow the city or anything if their demands aren't met. It's beneficial for everyone: Citizens stay safe, law enforcement has an easier time enforcing.

Friend interviewed: "He was sociable, not a loner."

Analyst on Fox: "He was a quiet guy, kept to himself."
WNBR anchor had her nephew on who was friends with this kid. Said he was popular and outgoing, lots of friends. Star athlete. Mainstream media fucking blows and can't be bothered to actually tell an accurate story.

I thought it was reported earlier that they didn't rob the 7/11 per se, but instead that is where they hijacked that Honda CR-V and had that hostage for awhile before they let him go.

True, but think about all the commerce that is not happening today. It's bad.

I kinda doubt they are directly linked to them. I'd guess it is more that they sympathize with them & their cause and thus this may have been their contribution to the cause. Sorta like some of the other lone-wolf attackers such as the guy who shot up the base in Texas or the guy that left the car with explosives (which failed) in NYC.

I think money has exchanged hands somewhere, and someone played their cards. Someone found these kids, probably told young Rocky he was going to hell and turned him and his brother. Or the Islam thing is a complete hangout, which means this goes way down. But I don't think this was completely spontaneous, unless we find a brain tumour in Tamerlane's head.

Disagree here. If he walks into a crowded mall or a soccer game and blows himself up or sets an explosive -- something he just did 5 days ago -- I'd say anything is justifiable here.

I am just really happy that it's school vacation week in MA. That would have been a whole other problem if there were schools open.

What I don't understand is why they wouldn't have left that night? Flights out of Logan were continuing and there was no indication that they were the suspects so I don't think it would have been terribly hard for them to leave.

If they were smart, they would have.

Thanks for your expert analysis. It will get all the consideration it deserves.

Daddy probably paid for the flight, maybe they went for the best value? Seems like it was poorly though out. Could have possibly slipped by though.

Finally someone understands. I wasn't till I was 22 that I stopped shouting stranger danger when people I didn't know talked to me.

The only people who would insist a 19 year old is a grown ass man are either 19 or younger and want to feel like big grown ups. It's not the 60s anymore.

I am wondering the same.. Why not flight out to Russia the same day? or the day after earlier in the Morning?

They may have explosives all over the area and he may be running around with more. It is absolutely not too much.

People still think the Columbine guys were loners because of the narrative the media made up, it's crazy that they just keep doing it.
