His attitude reminds me a lot of one of the two brothers who had killed a little girl in their basement just for her bicycle parts. Anyone remember that? There was a thread on it. Same kind of attitude. Guy posting on FB like right after they had killed her and stashed her body, "Home chilling!" and such. They were both brothers, young, etc., and the youngest acted exactly like this kid.
It's the mindset of someone who is "aimless". Not sure how to describe it. Something like being a sociopath, having a huge lack of empathy and lack of judgement. Those people are also often social, they interact easily with people, but it's like a facade that they aren't even aware exists themselves. Like they live moment to moment without thinking of the bigger picture.
Difficult to explain.
His older brother was probably not like that, and was able to influence his younger "aimless" brother.
GAF's track record is rock solid, he must have gotten a tip from somewhere and I'm glad he thrust his knowledge into this discussion.

Yeah, looking at his twitter and pictures and word of his friends and family. The guy didn't had any dirt on him so he kept that terrorist side to himself. I mean he had a shit tons of friends, was good looking, probably popular with the ladies, I think his family had money also?
No reason for him to do anything of this, so it's understandably for his close ones to be in denial. Not me however I saw proof. I hope he makes a good recovery so the interrogation can begin.

Apparently the homeowner of the boat saw a blood trail and went to go and check. Is the short of it.
No worries, a neighbor spotted the blood on the tarp of the boat and saw someone was inside and called the police. The kid surrendered after negotiations and visual safety confirmation from the robots after two hours.

If the younger one was as clean and uninteresting as it is painted, and I knew him personally, I would be in denial too; I would need to see evidence or be at the trial. I'm sure there are people like that in our lives who -- were they accused of something as horrific as murder or mass murder -- we'd probably need to see it with our own two eyes before we accepted it.

It's been mentioned a few times on TV tonight. They didn't say which government. I think they said it was in 2011. Said the FBI interviewed him at the request of a foreign government, but that it didn't go further.
Wonder which government. My guess is it was after he visited a country and may have gotten in contact with some folks being under watch over there.
