I had bought a camera with 83x optical zoom (Nikon P950), because mounting and dismounting lenses of an SLR camera was often annoying in some situations. I have never understood why you don't get an appropriate camera instead of binoculars. The possible uses of a camera are much larger and binoculars in serious use are really an extreme niche product.

I bring binoculars whenever I go out in nature, mostly to look at birds. A good telephoto lens is much heavier and bulky.

That's why I said that many people would probably come better with a camera. There is also a camera with 125x optical zoom. Just google. There are a lot of example videos for such cameras. Binoculars have their place, but are relevant for comparatively less people. For the same money you can often get more zoom with a camera.

I can only speak for the P950 (83x optical zoom). The image stabilization is actually very good. You do not necessarily need a tripod for this.
