Ricky Hatton retained Ring's Jr. Welterweight Championship by beating Jose Luis Castillo. Previously the #1 contender, Castillo was dropped to fifth following the loss.
On their pound-for-pound chart, Hatton was moved to eighth, displacing Marco Antonio Barrera.
