Feel pretty confident calling Beast Wars the coolest toys ever made. I had to go out and rebuy some of the ones I had when I was a kid. They had quadrupled in price.

Yeah, I loved that show and my toys as a kid. I still have:

Does warhammer count? I started playing when I was a kid, took a long break and got back in a few years ago. Damn this stuff is expensive. Also amazing.

i had that blue he-man guy -- the one that you twist and his neck goes up...

i never knew his name. i actually didn't even know he was from he-man really for sure until now. i think i saw him on one episode of a cartoon and i guess that it was he-man.
His name's Mechaneck, comes with snap on red armour and a yellow club. Have one somewhere in my old toy trunk.

So as a kid, we were pretty poor. McDonald's was a gourmet meal for me. During that time, I LOVED Transformers. Unfortunately, I could not afford any. When I first saw Devastator, I thought he was the coolest thing in the world. 30 years later, that love is still there. I happened upon an awesome TFC Hercules set I'd like to share with all of you!

Share your precious toys!

This is a deluxe version of the Constructicons/Devastator set. I had the very first one when I was a kid but it was pretty cheap compared to this one. Damn... Almost makes me want to get it myself. :)

Yeah loved the original one as a kid but the details on this version just blew the original away. The robots look so much better and they articulate everywhere. Transforming them takes a bit of work as well

oh wow.

i dont think i remember ever having that armor. i really don't even know when i got that thing, i just "always" had it, so who knows if it came from a new package or not. its a pretty strange choice now that i think about it.

Like you OP I was poor as fuck as a kid. Now that my wife and I make good money I spoiled my son by buying him all the Star Wars toys I wanted.

It is too late, but there will be a pic of my (boys) collections soon.

Haven't looked at any of my old toys in awhile. Most recent thing I got were these, not sure if the link will work.

The most fun I had was gi joes building bases and taking turns with other kids picking our teams. I would get muddy and do all sorts of shit in the water.

I remember when I was really young taking dumps in the bath and picking at them with some submarine claw toy.

Looking back I think I was a spoiled cracker, because I recall getting every damn he man toy.

I remember getting all the transformers as well. Who remembers the joys of those big fucking boxes like metroplex and omega supreme?

Later in my teens I got into the rc stuff, going to tracks and events. I remember racing at scandia on the slick track once. I balled on some motherfuckers by loosening my diff and getting some modified tires. got the 1st place plaque.

these days or atleast before i was hurt last year, i was loving the dirtbike thing. hundreds of crashes and flips and i kept coming back for more even though i sucked.

My fav are good ol' green soldiers, I still have some of them around. I still need to see them =) I would take a picture but I'm at work, I have five of them on my shelves.

you can not imagine how many hours, days, months I spent playing with this shit. It was awesome!

YES! Although one of of my traumatic childhood experiences was losing that chromed out sword.

Legos were the only toy I had. My parents still have boxes full of them, along with most of the instruction manuals. I can only hope one day they will make my children feel like gods among their playground mates. If there are even going to be playgrounds anymore...

My mom kept all of my awesome toys so Ill have to post pics sometime but I basically had a ton of Star Wars figures, GI Joe's (cartoon and the realistic ones), tons of Batman stuff, huge amounts of lego sets (The Ninja castle, the moon mining one or whatever, bunch of Star Wars ones). I had a sweet aircraft carrier and a Millennium Falcon too.. I was huge into action figures so I have a bunch. My one regret that I still remember is not buying a Darth Revan. I didn't know anything about him but his armor was cool and I saw him at the store but didn't buy it. Now he's like rare and stuff. I would've devalued it any way by playing with it but it still would've been cool to have.

I had my fair share of legos. A construction site thingy, I forget. It was a track you could build, you'd place a vehicle on it, and the vehicle would go between the various buildings or such you placed and they'd interact with it in one way or another. I forgot what it was, but I thought it was cool.

Frankly, my favorite toys were video games.

Sweet Riptide! :) I was way into Warhammer as a kid/teen, gave it up from about 1998-2010 and then got back into it late 2011. Got more now than I ever did back then. Love it.

Would post pics, but I'm at work.

These big rubber mofos! WWF LJN wrasslin figs.

They dominated my playtime as a youngster. I didn't play with much else other than these, Hot Wheels/Matchbox cars, or building blocks.

My brother and I had most of them, the ring, and the steel cage accessory. I kept playing with them after the Hasbro figs started coming out because they were pretty small and lousy for playing with. They look cool in their packaging though, I'll give them that. I love the super large studio photo of each guy on the front.

Hell yes! My King Kong Bundy & Jake The Snake were full of dart holes. So cool.

^that's one hella collection of pics for just one toy, op

my parents used to spoil me as a child, so I got all the '80s best. Masters of the Universe, Voltron, Transformers, Marshall Bravestarr, Lego, Playmobil, RC cars...you name it. My most precious toy, however, was the Forestmen' Lego set

My bro with the Legos. I had most of the forest sets as a kid and as a 33 year old man, I can not express the joy of playing with these sets with my four year old son. Seeing him building his own castles, man..,. That's what it's all about.

Most of my toys these days are just gunpla, although I do still have a few knick-knacks lying around. Don't have any pics as all my stuff is at home, but my favorite is probably my MG Phenex, due in large part to its size and shininess (I'm a sucker for bling).

(not my pics but this)

I have a friend who never stopped collecting toys as he got older. His parents house used to be filled with the stuff - you'd be tripping over it constantly. Every time I visited he'd be gushing to me about some new figurines he'd gotten on the internet - he spends hundreds of euros on them every week or so. Finally, his parents got so sick of them that they converted the attic of the stables into a room where he can put all of it whenever he's back home.

I was in there once, and I was so shocked at the sheer amount of stuff that I had to take pictures. I don't have time to upload them now, as I'm heading off to the city, but I will do so later when I get back.
