Same here. I could say that for my entire family, he was the most recogniable and likable to them. His voice and mannerism was somehow confronting. Reading "Peter Jennings has died...." is so surreal.

It's like these people you grow all with all your life and always expect them to always be there. When I was 7 and my parents turned to watch the the world news....there's Peter Jennings, at 12...Peter Jennings, at 15...Peter Jennings, at 20...Peter Jennings, now at 22.....now more....

I remember when during 9-11 he was on the story for a long time. His took of his suit jacket, his collar was a bit unbuttoned and you could see the exhaustion on his face and voice, but he kept chugging away.

Rest in peace Peter Jennings, I will miss your confronting face and voice.

Really? He's expected to die soon? He hasn't done a good movie in like 30 years, and he's done a LOT of crap, but Lawrence of Arabia is one of my favorite movies.

On a side note, someone at WSB (ABC affiliate) in Atlanta needs to lose their job-both the NBC and CBS affiliates broke in with the news, but WSB waited a whole 10 minutes after the other two broke the news before joining up with the national coverage.
