I agree with you. If it's been posted on Drudge I already know about it. No need for a BREAKING that will quickly become old news.

A simple, effective headline such as "Heath Ledger is Dead" is much better.

It's just another way for people to get attention for their threads in anyway possible or to make out as if their thread is somehow more important or special then any other thread on the forum for that particular time. Not unlike THE CAPITALIZING EVERY FUCKING WORD IN THE FUCKING THREAD TITLE BECAUSE IT WOULDN'T BE AS NOTICABLE OR ANNOYING IN LOWER CASE...ahem. Most of the time I'll ignore those threads out of spite, regardless of the topic.

I do kinda agree with this, despite the abrasive tone of the OP. Sadly nothing can stop the GAF memes. Not even the mods could kill FHUTA, and I doubt they'll lift a finger to this one as it isn't all that disruptive to begin with.
