I still don't get why this story became the media obsession that it is today.

I was mildly obsessed with it when it first started getting reported on, then it just became fucking annoying to me. I can't wait until the verdict is revealed so this story can go away.

I fucking hate Dan Abrams and his perpetual obsession. :)

I don't even know wtf happened to the Kobe story, and I don't even know who the fuck Scott Peterson is. I take great pride in that.

Scott Peterson = verdict today
That Other guy that allegedly killed his wife = ?
Martha Stewart = convicted and in jail
Michael Jackson = ?
Kobe Bryant = something about the alleged victim dropping her case, and filing a civil suit.

So many high-profile cases. :p

Three years of court tv bullshit summed up in a 7 second post. Thank you. :)

I remember my entire high school waching the OJ simpson verdict being read. I was in physics class and we wheeled in a TV to watch it in class. Afterwards as we left school for the day (it happened during last period), we had to put up with every GTA:SA NPC shouting out "The juice is loose."

Hehe. Well, yes. But I'd been wanting to make that stereotypical joke for a while, as it was all the football jocks mainly, black or white doing all the "juice" yelling in the hallway afterwards. :lol

I'm guessing he's gonna walk.

They booted one juror, then booted the foreman like two days later, so they've restarted twice now...

They never explained why the jurors were booted did they? I think it could go either way at this point, those two may have ended up being the only holdouts for one side or the other as far as we know - a point that would get brought up in appeal probably no matter the verdict.

The one juror supposedly was doing research on the case from the hotel room, which was against the rules. They never said exactly what she did, but that the internet was restricted, the TVs had channel lockouts, and they could only play cards with each other and not talk about the case. So who knows what she did.

The foreman is still unclear, but I heard some analyst person saying that if the foreman was not doing a good job or holding things up, the other jurors could object and have him removed. But that usually just makes him a regular juror and not completely gone from the jury, so who knows.

This whole thing's been fishy.

I think it's because he supposedly killed his wife and his new baby, then tried to flee to Mexico like some 1970's movie or something. He doesn't have a high public profile or whatever, but people still want to see him sent up the river for what he allegedly did, perhaps as an example to others.

why do people care about scott peterson? why was this trial such huge news?

Because occasionally the media decides to latch onto the murder of a young, attractive white woman to exploit for ad dollars.

Speculation: The jury was deadlocked so they decided to compromise. People are saying that the verdict will most likely be 2 convictions of 2nd degree murder. We shall see.

I'll be SHOCKED if Peterson gets death over this. I couldn't possibly rule out a conviction based on his behavior following the investigation, but evidence presented by the prosecution wasn't strong enough for guilty + special circumstances.

Finally Larry King can go back to interviewing important people......wtf did I just say!?

I'm glad this is finally over...

No one cares about this case dammit

It's not like OJ

I didn't follow the Scott Peterson stuff at all. :lol
I didn't really either. I've heard little things here and there. But it was pretty obvious from the get go that he was guilty as sin.
