So earlier I heard that there isn't going to be any towns at all in the game, but now I read that Nintendo removed them from the demo so that it won't spoil anything. Which one is right?

I'm just glad it seems to be pig Ganon, but where this is basically a remake of the original it shouldn't come as a surprise.
This is the first time I'm really craving a Zelda game. Shame they haven't shown off the NX though because if I buy a console it's only gonna be one and that will be the PS4 Neo if Nintendo doesn't wow me soon.
Just wish Nintendo would finally reveal that NX and show us Zelda on that. I am sure it will look better on that. Don't get me wrong, plenty of times it looked good in the 5 hours of footage but there was also plenty of rough parts and simply parts that looked dated. It's clearly the limitations of the Wii U, so please let them make the NX version significantly better. Of course it's still in full development, so i am sure for Wii U it will improve as well.

Am I the only one that thinks this is a remake of the first game?
Can anyone explain what Link is doing here?

This game....
For all the negative buzz that some people have attempted to generate regarding the lack of apparent things to do in this game, I'm just floored by the level of interactivity that this open world represents. I'm talking about the open world itself, and the fact that it's just packed with these little layered interactive elements that you usually don't see in games of this sort. It's one thing to compare this to Witcher 3, an amazing game with a brilliant sense of scope and an amazing story to tell - which has a fairly predictable gameplay loop that features an awesome amount of depth in its own right, tailored around questing and decision-making as opposed to straight up interaction with the world. I've never before seen an open world as malleable as this, as layered with bonafide gameplay mechanics... where I could set fire to a patch of grass, and then blast it with a gust of wind to make my own live fuse for a bomb, or use the updraft to create lift for higher jumps in platforming and combat scenarios. Or where I could see obstacles in my path, and simply punt them out of my way with a big magnet - or better yet, see an obstacle in my path like a ravine, and place my own damn bridge to get over it. Or where I could push a big boulder down a mountain specifically to crush the enemies below. Or where I could ski down a snowy mountain using my damn shield in order to build speed for a particularly long jump... etc. etc. it's one thing to compare these things superficially to other games, like "oh, game X had burning grass and world physics years ago", and it's another thing to see those kinds of features put to use in a game where they actually represent relevant gameplay mechanics that legit change the way I approach traversal through that world.
I actually believe that terrain manipulation will be a large part of the puzzles/exploration in this game. Kind of like how season manipulation in Oracle of Seasons was integral to accessing certain areas.
The way Aonuma talks about overworld navigation as if it's a puzzle in this game and you can enter into each area from 360 degrees makes it sound like there's some way to affect the terrain itself.

SHINE, BOULDA!
Yeah, I definitely had Jojo on the brain when they showed off that power.
Stasis allows you to freeze object for a limited period of time. While frozen, you can beat on the object to store kinetic energy. When time runs out, all that energy is unleashed at once, sending the object flying
he used time stasis, to STOP the rock, and he is applying force to it, but since it is STOPPED it doesnnt move, when the effect is over, all the acumulated force is released sendig the rock away

Around 14 minutes in, you see that evil swirly around Hyrule Castle, you can see eyes and times, tusks or horns with the dialogue "The beast... when the beast regains its true power, the world will face its end."

Love how Ganon is this otherworldy evil now. It fits better with him being a reincarnation of Demise. I'm just gonna say this follows Skyward Sword and that Skyward was secretly a reboot. No more split timeline shenanigans.

Even if he's meant to be thin i realized he has a super big head and small body, but not enough to be chibi or anything, so that's really weird.
Seenipple fix to!

wait why does this thing look so familiar, like the head of an old boss or something?

Hopefully. I haven't bought a nintendo game since twilight princess on the wii, it was all cool right away but the waggle stuff and buying all these peripherals wore thin so I didn't hop on the wiiU gameplay thing. If NX is a bit more traditional I'm definitely in especially for this game, looking amazing and have been missing some zelda like this.Multiple places, but I read it in IGN's preview of the game.
Considering this game seems to have no Gamepad-functionality outside of off-TV play and based on the high-likelihood that Zelda is going to be launch showcase for NX, it seems reasonable to assume that traditional controls are going to be a primary input method for Nintendo's next console. I'm actually pretty surprised there aren't more Gamepad features for this title.
That's awesome lol
Finally watching the stream. Exceeding my expectations for sure. I just REEEALLLY hope there's a hard mode or something. I don't want to reach that point in every Zelda game where you get a few more heart containers and suddenly you never die again.
I wish the series had upgraded the swordplay more substantially since Ocarina. I remember playing Ninja Gaiden and then Dark Souls and thinking how much more satisfying the combat in those games was. Ocarina's combat was revolutionary for its time and is still fairly satisfying to this day with the side steps, backflips, and leaping attacks. Wind Waker tightened up the controls significantly and added parry mechanism, but the series hasn't evolved much since then... this looks to be more of the same.
The animation continues to be lacking. Animated animals has never been a strong point in the series, so I don't get why they chose to highlight it in this trailer unless there's going to be a reveal that Dr. Wily and Robotnik teamed up to turn all of the animals into robots.
The visuals looks decent, but the world looks really bland.
Zelda used to be my favorite series, but it obviously isn't for me anymore. Maybe the next one will be different (I have been saying this since Wind Waker). See you in 6 years.
