Bringing some electrical devices to Europe (from Canada) -- any solutions?

Is there some sort of adaptor that I could plug into European sockets and then plug my appliances into the other end -- voila, power?

Where are you going in europe? Some of the countries use a different voltate than America so you will need a converter or a adapter that works at both voltages. A lot of portable devices already have adatpers that work at both voltages so all you need to do is find an adapter so it fits in the sockets.

Do Canada's outlets run at 120v? If so you'll need a 120v to 220v adapter.
MAke sure you buy an adapter with a voltage converter as not all electronics have built in converters. I almost fried my clippers in Italy only because the converter was faulty. Cell phones and MP3 charging shouldn't need a converter though.

Yeah, Europe runs on 220V. Usually if you check on the back of the power adaptor for devices like MP3 players and cellphones it will tell you the voltages it can accept, and if it says something like 100-240V then all you need is a plug adaptor. If not then you'll need a proper voltage converter as has already been mentioned on this thread. Make sure any converter you buy can handle the current load you're going to put on it, e.g. a cheapo one may be fine for stuff like your toothbrush or shaver but for example if you were going to bring over a console like an Xbox or something it wouldn't be sufficient.
