who is picking this up?

I sure am. I have the Xbox version and it's a lot of fun. Live is a blast too.

I know there's a bigger following for it on the PC than the Xbox, and I know loads of people who bought an Xbox and this game to hold them off until the PC version.

I am interested in it. The few videos I saw made me a little excited.. I like the whole squad thing that's in FPS but I am a little over WW2 FPS :(

Still the few reviews that were posted make me want to grab it so we'll see~~~

Its not very good. With the exception of 1 or 2 levels most of the missions are very plain and boring. The squad control element is decent, but the game is nowhere near as fun as Call of Duty.

Well, opinions differ greatly then. I prefer Brothers in Arms over Call of Duty, a lot.. How much fun Call of Duty was and still is, it's different from Brothers in Arms. The only two things they have in common are the first person view and the WWII theme.

If anything Brothers in Arms feels like Freedom Fighters in first person, and thats what got me hooked until FF 2 :)

Freedom Fighters is so much more enjoyable than Brothers in Arms. BiA is ridiculously predictable and repetitive.

Cover with Fire Team

Flank with Assault Team

The game is incredibly easy, the only challenge coming in the form of a tank -- and missions including one are far and few between.

Brothers in Arms is NOT better than Call of Duty.

I don't understand all the praise for Call of Duty. I finally got around to playing it recently, and it's nothing really special. I haven't played BIA yet, but plan on picking up PC version. As far as "squad shooters" go I've had more fun with Republic Commando and the SWAT 4 demo than I ever did with Call of Duty.

I had a lot of fun with CoD, but it's a totally different game than BiA.
CoD is so far fetched in it's portrayal of WW2 scenarios it's not even funny. Might as well completely eliminate squad mates from CoD because they're pretty much useless. I can remember the frustration of having some Kraut shoot me from behind in the same room as me, all the while my squad mates stood there looking stupid and not doing anything.

In BiA I've actually tested the teammates' AI, and have finished entire levels without me killing a single enemy, just relying on my fire/assault teams to execute flanking and assault maneuvers.
BiA makes you aware of the toughness of war, CoD sensationalizes it by often times pitting a lone soldier against scores and scores of enemy forces.
