UFO 50 is out today for the Switch

No disrespect intended but a CRT filter in a game like this makes no sense. There is no original CRT artistic vision because those games were developed in the 2020s with a pixel grid in mind, and nobody played them on a CRT in the past.

It just makes the game look worse for no reason.

Fix it devs

Is the Fangamer version the only physical one?

Edit: Might get the Deluxe version then which comes with the book.
Yea I asked the same question but never got an answer. I don't particularly like ordering directly from publishers unless it's the only option.

Hopefully it's at least not a limited physical release and doesn't sellout.

This game… these games… holy shit.

I feel like this shouldn't be possible. I'm in awe.

I've already found 4 games I want to fully complete in this and I've only tried like 9?

This is a must buy for ALL gamers. This is genius shit going on.

This might topple Clair 33 for me as my GOTY.

I think he is arguing that the game doesn't need a crt filter at all

They should still fix it, but I'm torn as to whether I would even use it if fixed
It's a bit of both, first the filter is poorly implemented, it doesn't do aspect correction or simulate the curve of a CRT. All it does is put some black gridline separation so everything looks more dull and uglier:

Second, a CRT filter is supposed to make games look "like they used to" on consumer TVs/monitors. But nobody played Campanella or Barbuda in the 90s so there's no original look to return to.
