One of my favorite records of all time, and the main reason I got into vinyl collecting.

Nice article on The Atlanic: Born to Run and the Decline of the American Dream
"Bruce Springsteen’s breakout album embodied the lost ‘70s—the tense, political, working-class rejection of an increasingly unequal society."

Surely I'm not alone with my adoration for this record, so let's share songs, stories, videos.

Here's Louis CK's famous Jungleland moment.

Everyone who loves this record ows it to themselves to check out the documentary Wings for Wheels.

it's one of the very first records i ever remember listening to.

tenth ave freeze out is one of the earliest music memories i have.

I had no idea this album was even older than me... (I'm old)

Bruce Springsteens songs often make me a bit sad, but damn I love them.

Wow, I also had no idea this album was 1975. My parents listened to it constantly in the 80's when I was growing up so I thought it came out around then. It doesn't sound dated at all.

The greatest, really. This album was really important to me during some very formative years of my life, Thunder Road – particularly the Hammersmith Odeon 1975 rendition – can still move me to tears.

That the album sounds as timeless today as it ever did is the surest sign of the powerful inspiration Bruce was channeling.
