Just finished watching this and I just had post about this. I never seen anything like this before. Realtime musical that isnt dream explained very sensibly in buffy universe with loads of character development, some really cool and funny tunes, major reveals, an attempted suicide dance and very interesting ending. The amount of work they must have put into this episode had be insane. So I just had to know what the concensus on this was back in the day. Did buffy fans have an artist bone in the body and enjoy this gem or did they just go wtf, where is action?

It's very popular. Often talked about as one of the best eps ever. Even people that hate season 6 will usually say that was an exception.

I still listen to the soundtrack CD.

Yeah, brilliant episode. Every single song is fantastic. It is definitely a fan favourite, i don't think there was much backlash directed at the episode at all. Too bad the season completely derailed after Tabula Rasa.

Its always this episode of Buffy and the Angel where he gets turned into a puppet that gets mentioned whenever I hear anyone round here talking about the shows. :lol
