Hardware requirements are very accessible for most people, even with older PCs.

For a online game that needs the most number of users possible (that is exactly the nature of a online game, after all..), very good specs, I have to say.

very accessible

I think they're using an enhanced version of their in‑house Tiger engine, so it should be well‑optimized, just like Destiny 2 was when it launched on PC. I remember playing it on a 750ti and still getting 60 FPS on the vanilla version of D2 back in 2017.

Voted "no" coz i love my gaming pc, would never expose it to GAAS game xD
Specs wise 3080ti 9800x3d and 64gigs of 6200mhz ddr5 is nore than fine- barrier that will make sure my pc never runs marathon is me- its owner :messenger_sunglasses:

Why does rebar require twice the vram tho? Dont think I ever saw rebar on recommended specs before.

Intel GPUs run like crap without it. And Intel is worse with memory compression and management than nvidia and AMD, their 8GB GPUs are more problematic than constructions made by competition.

Aaah, I thought it applied to all gpus, but it's just an intel thing. Gotcha. Thanks.

Actually very reasonable and accessible, not a big jump compare to destiny 2 recommended spec.

with new PC components getting more and more expensive, it makes sense to target older cpu & gpu.

A semblance of optimization in a sea of rig-bricking games. Not that the game looks spetacular but this is for the best if they are aiming for big player numbers and sales.

Actually reasonable requirements? A developer that actually optimizes their game rather than cut every corner they possibly can and rely on the latest 2 hardware generations to brute force their bloated monstrosity? Well I never.

I agree with most people here that the requirements look pretty reasonable. That said, I'll believe in smooth multiplayer when I see it. Plenty of shooters look fine on paper and then stumble because of netcode or poor optimization. We'll see how it actually feels after launch.

The october beta was already super smooth on my pc. No fps drops, no stuttering

The game runs on their own engine, the same one from way back in Halo, of course highly updated and modified.

We have juggernaut triple AAA companies that requires GeForce 6070ti super sli for running games 1080p30fps, and marathon seems to be well optimized in a time and age where optimization is non existent.

Just a shame it's a game nobody really wants. We need a great game to show optimization is worth more than their slop coding.

Nice to see that they are including Intel Arc GPU's in that specs list. Now if only Intel could stop hesitating with their B770 16GB card.
