Burglars raid 4 shops, one trimmed pubic hair and masturbated on couch
BHOPAL: Burglars targeted four locked shops including a caterer’s office located at Gurukripa Tower complex in Kolar area and decamped with cash and valuables worth lakhs.
A victim, who runs catering business from the complex, checked CCTV camera recordings on Friday night and was shocked to find that a burglar trimmed his pubic hair in his office and even masturbated while lying on the sofa-set in front of his counter.
The burglars had came to the spot five days back too and had then disconnected a wire mistaking it for CCTV wire. However, six out of eight CCTV cameras were still functional.
Kolar police registered two separate theft cases in the matter on complaint filed by shopkeepers and started investigations. The victims claim that the burglars decamped with cash and valuable goods and electronic items worth around 7 lakh.
Animesh Devjiani, 38, a resident of Royal Estate in MP Nagar, told TOI that his catering firm office is located in Gurukripa Tower at Sarvdharm Colony in Kolar. He said that his office has many rooms so he had decided to rent out a portion for which a client had asked him to meet at his office on Thursday. When he went to the office he was shocked to find that the toughened glass on the front wall was broken and catering articles including expensive cutlery items and cash from the counter was missing. He reported the matter to Kolar police and filed a theft complaint. Three more shops were burgled in the complex for which separate complaint was filed on Friday.
Devjiani said that on Friday night when he checked the CCTV camera DVR he found that two unidentified accused broke the locks on two shutters at his office on May 15 around 6 am. They disconnected wire of electric water supply motor fitted outside mistaking it to be CCTV wiring and damaged two CCTV cameras before breaking the locks. However, as the shutters had central lock system, the accused could not get inside the office and went away.
Devjiani said that of the accused returned alone on May 20 around 10 am and broke into his office. He calmly spent around two hours in the office and returned at 12.15 pm. He broke the cash box and took out cash and coins. He counted the currency notes and even the coins separately. Then the accused sat on sofa set and trimmed his pubic hair. Subsequently, he masturbated while lying on another sofa and then made challenging gestures facing the CCTV cameras. Devjiani said that the complex is situated on the main road and he was shocked to see the confidence of the accused in the CCTV recordings. He spent two hours in his office in broad daylight and decamped with cash and valuables from four shops. Kolar police said that two theft cases have been registered and investigations were on.
