Ozzy and Black Sabbath (original lineup) playing one final show on July 5

Was class, seeing Bill Ward take the top off to drum out the last songs :-) I had to put up with a work colleague at it along with my Bro sending me photos and videos, jammy bastards rubbing it in
People act like we're not getting closer to dying every day.

It comes for us all folks, best prepare and do your best to get there gracefully.

By the way, Bill Ward's one of the reasons I started drumming in the first place. Absolutely brilliant drummer, always sounds live, even in the studio.

Real ones know, ya don't ever skip the pit. Got respect for Mamoa now, metalheads stick together.

I've been trying to get my wife to mosh for fifteen years now lol. I get it, it's pretty intimidating, but I've tried to tell her that the pit at a real metal show might be the safest place for a woman in the world. Watch what happens if someone gets grabby with a woman in the pit....it ain't pretty. Ya just see a wave of fists belonging to long haired beardy bastards in black descend rapidly on the handsy bozo. Makes me proud of my brethren every time I see it.

i'm fucking amazed he is still alive after the quantity of drugs and alcohol he consumed over the years. Must have a liver made of dragon-forged valyrian steel

Fucking god status🤘🤘 There will never be another like him. So glad I got to live through the greatest years of music where legends were made. Ozzy,DIO,lemmy, halford,Dickinson

Eh, I've seen a fair number of girls get grabbed/groped while crowd surfing at metal shows. Of course some of that is just annoyance because crowd surfing is obnoxious behavior. A girl on her guys shoulders popping top, ain't no one messing with that :p

I just hope they filmed this thing with clear audio and 360 degree camers so we can buy a good vr experience of it. Just watching it in YouTube with shitty phone audio ain't worthy of the King.

In a mosh pit itself, while I don't think anyone would deliberately ram a woman like they might a guy (and we've all seen those jerks who think they are a human battering ram) it definitely ain't 'safe' to be 100 pounds lighter than the colliding bodies.

What a crazy show altogether. I thought Steven Tyler was finished singing because of voice issues? He sounds good here all things considered!

I've been to somewhere around twenty metal shows, mostly bar shows as they're simply always better than arena shows, and every single time, with absolutely no exceptions, someone got grabby in the pit, the frontman of the playing band would literally point them out and have us all pound them. Not once did I see that behavior go unpunished. Guess it depends on the kind of shows you're at :/, but in my experience, and it's something my best friend has told his wife and daughter as well for the past twenty years, just as I have, a pit at a metal show where the band aren't shitheads is the safest place for a woman. I would agree that you do need to at least have enough mass that your spine doesn't snap like a twig when a two hundred pound lad shoves you, but I've never seen guys shove women as hard as men in the pit, they always hold back just like I do. I don't know man, I think it's pretty safe, and I'll continue to espouse that, but I see your point too.

Now, a punk show.....very fucking different story. I went to a punk show and they were literally elbowing each other in the teeth, ripping girls shirts off, a dude pissed in the corner of the bar, just bedlam. I love some punk music, (not much), but unfortunately punks are just absolute scumbags way too often at shows, so I'd never recommend women mosh at a punk show, and though I haven't experienced one personally, I'd say the same for hip hop shows with the crazy shit that we've all seen happen in the past few years with people getting trampled to death at hip hop shows and what not.

Basically your heavy rock/metal audience typically consists of people who like music and are there for the music.

Pleb music (think chris brown, or some other nonsense) people are there to get wasted, smoke weed or give it large.

Obviously exceptions on both sides but that's the case for 90% of it.

Agreed, punk fans are the worst (well, probably rap is the worst, but I don't go there).

Thinking back, the shows with the worst groping behavior were probably the massive festival shows with a very eclectic band line up, stuff like lallapaloosa or ozzfest where folks are there for HOURS, getting drunk, getting high. Chicks are walking around nude in body paint, its a very charged atmosphere. Club shows or the smaller arenas, its a much more focused group, no doubt.

I'm late on this. I went to the site thinking I'd still be able to purchase the stream and... I guess not. :(

This will probably get some kind of physical release at a later time right??

Insane performance.

Ozzy definitely one of the greatest of all time. Sabbath set was sick but the Ozzy set with Zakk was too much to handle. Crazy Train broke my heart, the wounds not healing line was tough to take in with all things considered. The crowd kicked in for the hook line and Zakk is just fucken mental - up there with Gerorge Lynch when it comes to the pinches and vibrato.
