i feel like i'm at the end of my rope here, just really burned out on work work work. i've got this huge laundry list of things i need to do and it's not getting any shorter, but whenever i try to do something i just end up staring at the flashing cursor.

i know the trick is to take it one step at a time and freewrite if you're stuck, but i've been stuck on this article for two days and have already delayed it once. any freewritings i do just end up like blog posts, not really usable or anything else.

i'd really appreciate it if you guys could offer some insight here.

take a trip to texas and look for worms. Hey if helps Bush out when there are terrorists threatening to attack the USA...it must surely help you out too.

It's not the best advice, but take a day for yourself and just be a bum. Sit in bed and try not to think about your problems, but about whatever really matters. Again, not the best advice, but that's all I gots right now.

I always thought the best thing to do when experiencing writer's block/despair is to play video games... but that might not be the best option for you..

Read any good books lately? I might suggest starting a fiction novel until you feel better.

Crazy. This was the exact advice I was about to post, except replace "just be a bum" with "do whatever the hell you feel like that would normally be considered an irresponsible waste of time but is fun to you."

These so called days of wasted productivity always rejuvenate me.

stop spending all your time playing video games. sit in front of the computer until you're so desperate to stop that you write something great.
