Burnout Revenge trailer

Cool trailer but... did EA change the EA logo animation or it's just for this video?

Same here. I LOVE burnout so much, I would buy X360 just because of this game (plus I don't like playing this on the DS2, Type-S/X360 controllers are ace, triggers bitch!).

Shit, if the console's backwards compatible and I can play those games online on X360 with my old Gamertag, I'll just sell my Xbox and buy a X360 and a copy of this. Unless the PS3 or Revolutions will have better versions with better online versions.

looks like they changed it. no "EA Games", no "challenge everything" tag

How anybody could bitch about us getting more Burnout lovin this generation... I'll NEVER understand

Graphically it doesn't seem improved compared to B3 to me.
They have only changed the color palette. But the game seems so fun to play that I want it :D

Same. I'll buy every Burnout title released till the end of time, seriously.

+1 obligatory Burnout fapping. Looks like they show off at least a couple of the new features they've talked about in that video - ability to hit "civilian" cars without automatically triggering an accident, crashbreakers during races - and I certainly hope the music in the trailer is indicative of a different direction being taken in the game itself.

i dont get it - why would people buy a new 400 usd console, when they can have the same (!) good looking game on ps2 and xbox???

I'm sure people used to say that about Tony Hawk. What are they to say now?

Goodness. I was hoping for the PSP trailer tho.

If a series is gonna get milked, this is how it should be done. Criterion's definately doing it right. I'm still pissed they ditched GC though! There was plenty of content in Burnout 3 to justify a GC port regaurdless of online.

I just hope they got rid of that horrible teenage american music!

I would mute my TV every time those horrible tracks started playing.

Looks just like B3?

Yeah...

I liked Burnout 3 and all, and questioning a Burnout game seemingly can get you burned at the stake, but here's the $50 question: What does this bring to the table that wasn't in 3? Brown?

It does look just like B3, lol

But hey that's not a bad thing right ;P ?

I loved B3, but that shitty music had to go, unfortunately the music in the video sounded just as generic, I hope EA allows costumizable soundtracks.

Well, I'd like the best version of this game. Plus, there will be other great games for the X360 as well at launch.

No kidding, I played Burnout online only a couple times. I would have bought a Gamecube version in a second.

B3 on XBox with "Ready Steady Go" by Okenfold is a slice of heaven.

Apparently certain folks missed the recent mag writeup/interview.

BO:R is most certainly not just BO:3 with a palette swap in terms of gameplay features.

They haven't even spilled all the details about the new crash mode yet. The developer said it was fantastic (though what exactly is he sapposed to say "it sucks"?)

But anyway, BO3 was almost perfect. I would have payed $30-$40 for just a track pack / junction pack.

Definitly my GOTY last year.

Is there a GAF thread? I loved Burnout 3 and the Criterion team was probably the most enjoyable group of devs at E3, so I'm not trying to bring them down. I'm just not a fan of milking.

Not to mention improved AI can't be shown in pics unfortunately.

If it has 60fps split screen action instead of 30fps, a more stable online mode and acual music this time I could consider Burnout 3: Wrapped in Brown.

I LOVED Burnout 2 but Burnout 3 was just so lame. All the strategy was stripped out and the driving became even simpler than ever before. It was also chocked so full of secret cars and unlockables that they didn't mean anything after a while. I also hated the EA whoring all over the game. To top it off the how to play movie could never be skipped and was essentially the same movie that would play whenever you accessed a game mode for the first time.

Hopefully Criterion stopped bending over to EA and actually made something less for the executives and more for gamers for this one.

Yeah Burnout 2 splitscreen on Xbox was heaven. Silky smooth 60FPS. I could barely play or enjoy Burnout 3's multiplayer mode. And it was even worse that there was no replay or time records! Me and one of my mates have put about 100 hours + into B1 + B2 multiplayer. So fun constantly beating your best times.

I haven't seen the trailer for this yet, but if there's an X360 version with Perfect Dark 0 at launch I am SOLD.

Why is Burnout 3 still $40 is the real question. I more or less refuse to buy a copy of a game until it drops to $20 after the first month on sale (maybe $30 depending on the game) and this thing has been out for like 6+ months and is still almost full price.. AND it didnt sell that well. WTF EA!
