OMFG!! I cannot believe I just heard him say that. It was on TV just now (MSNBC). I mean wow. Just wow. Bush must have balls the size of Texas. I'm stunned.

This is just pathetic. The worst thing about it is that conservatives don't give a shit and their votes will still go to bush. This administration cares nothing about human beings or america for that matter. They just want to get back into the white house and control anything and everything for as long as they possibly can.

A brain the size of Texas would only be as dumb as Bush if it were following the rules of diminishing returns, which I'm sure it could not comprehend.

So trying to act as a unit is a "danger to world peace???"

And this bastard is actually our President. 0_o

He....actually...said this?

Wow.

Wow.

Wow.

New lows. Hopefully the American public will see this for what it is - nasty, cynical, desperation.

No difference from when Cheney said that the U.S. would suffer an even larger terrorist attack if we don't vote right this November. Fear is this administration's best friend, especially when looking at the Republican member base. Fucking pathetic.

Omg Bush is hilarious, but more than that, hes a hypocrite.

I know. I find it hysterical that bush of all people would label others as a threat to world peace. The biggest threat to world peace in the next 4 years is another Bush term.

What tops this?

I'm not going to attempt to reproduce it without the source at hand, and I can't remember where I saw it (probably a newspaper over lunch...) It did include the word 'France', though. :)

It's a deliciously ambiguous statement. It can mean that other countries can veto America's right to defend itself, just as long as it is not countries like France. :p

Well to play devil's advocate what was the entire statement?
El Presidente said:
One other point I want to make about the debate last night. Senator Kerry last night said that America has to pass some sort of global test before we can use American troops to defend ourselves. He wants our national-security decisions subject to the approval of a foreign government. Listen, I'll continue to work with our allies and the international community, but I will never submit America's national security to an international test. The use of troops to defend America must never be subject to a veto by countries like France.
GW, keepin' it real.
Edit - Kerry's quote for reference.
Kerry said:
What prompted Bush’s attack was Kerry’s statement that when the United States goes to war, “you have to do it in a way that passes the test, that passes the global test where your countrymen, your people, understand fully why you're doing what you're doing and you can prove to the world that you did it for legitimate reasons.
I really wish the press could get Bush to explain exactly what he means by his statements... provide a scenario in which he thinks Kerry would "avoid defending America" because of a lack of UN support.

"It's absolutely essential that eight weeks from today, on Nov. 2, we make the right choice, because if we make the wrong choice then the danger is that we'll get hit again and we'll be hit in a way that will be devastating from the standpoint of the United States," Cheney told about 350 supporters at a town-hall meeting in this Iowa city.

I don't know if I would laugh or cry if we ever get hit "harder than we've ever been hit before" should Bush be re-elected. Statements like that would come back to haunt Cheney. What a fool.

So... the October surprise is going to be that McCain is replacing Bush on the ticket... right? Right?

Pretty please?

I still wouldn't vote for him. I've completely lost respect for him after he chose to toe the party line even after all of the shit Bush/Rove have put him through.

He -used- to be the guy that I'd vote for even if we disagree on quite a few issues, just because I actually respected him.

It's absolutely terrifying that there's a good chance he'll be elected again. I'm not even American, but it's clear that he doesn't belong in office. You know, if it weren't for his background I sincerely doubt he'd be able to hold a job, period. Not even McDonald's.

Edit: Actually, I take it back. He may have grown into a great man if it weren't for his pampered upbringing.
