I support this game, though it really is no Shinobi.
The settings and enemy designs were stagnant and uninspired, the bosses particularly lacked much flavor or pattern recognition given Hibana's cheapo long-range sword charge hits just pulverized them before any lasting impression could set in.
The 30-tate canned combo rooms were neat, and the heavy use of kicks to break guard (while tactically inferior to kicking in Shinobi), did create some crazy airtime opportunities which I am a fan of.
I should go back and finish off Super mode with my cowboy-chic guitar laden Hibana, or whatever the devil costume I last unlocked on Hard mode.
