I'm not saying this is what occurred, but often on eBay I will be asked to state a lower value on customs forms and/or put it as a gift. Which is customs fraud. How's this done? I have some international buyers and I'd like to help them get packages in as cheaply as possible.

Oh.... Well balls.
Dont worry about it its very common when shipping international the guy got his 3dsxl and you earned karma.Iv'e done this also its a hook up and makes you a cool dude in my book.
4. No illegal shit
I think this goes without saying, but JUST IN CASE. Do not sell stolen goods (well, first of all, don't steal ), do not sell pirated goods, do not sell illegal products, or things that might get the forum into trouble. If we get a complain about such stuff, you will get banned, and the listing(s) will get deleted, because... duh. Oh and don't try to trade any of that shit either.
The most positive of feedbacks for CloggerDude. When the Majora's Mask New 3DS XL was announced, he went out of his way to preorder one for me at GameStop. He kept an eye on the order's status until it was in his hands, tested it to make sure it was in perfect conditions, and forwarded it to me in even better packaging than GameStop originally shipped it in. He even took his time to label the package per Costa Rica's customs requirements so that it would be tax-exempt, saving me easily over $100 as a result.
Not once did he ask for more money for the console than what GameStop (plus shipping) charged him, and communication was nothing less than quick and pleasant. I would deal with him again in a heartbeat.
There is no way I would have been able to get one otherwise. I am in his debt, and so glad to be a part of this community. Thanks, CloggerDude!
Oh.... Well balls.
Edit: Actually, scratch that, I didn't fill out a custom form for it. All I did was write "Gift" on the outside of the box. I missed the "forms" part of the statement. That makes me feel somewhat better.
what you did is not illegal, its a customs exception that can be made every year for every civilian in Costa Rica, basically you do not pay import taxes for just one items with a $500 value or less if you report that it was sent from a friend, its in a law that was changed recently
the law included any article, even when bought through amazon, though it was changed because of some people... "interests"... over CR and now only things received from non commercial addresses can be excepted from the import taxes...
what Fireblend did is not illegal, he just made use of a law that is valid in his country (I know that in other Central America countries the same law applies, it was like a convention or something)
EDIT: I can redirect you to the mentioned law if you know spanish... its completely valid...
That is super interesting! I had no idea.
Like I said, I didn't know what occurred in this instance, but I have had people ask me to lie on customs forms. Don't do that!

Section 2, I have an OLED Vita + Memory Card, and I'm looking to trade them for a Vita Slim
P.S. Please be understanding with the fact that it's a bit of a process for me to get to the post office, so most of my shipping will be done on either Friday or Saturday. Please keep this in mind when purchasing.
PS Vita OLED + 16GB Memory Card, want to trade for a PS Vita Slim (no memory card needed)
(Games pictured not included, system will be formatted)
Dat OLED
You know you want it.
Seriously though, as silly as it sounds, I didn't realize that the Slim offered MicroUSB charging while the OLED one has its own charger, and I decided I would prefer to have cord flexibility over "Dat OLED"
So, if anyone has a PS Vita Slim and wants to trade it straight-up for an OLED Vita, let me know.
Adding in the 16GB memory card as an incentive, since I ended up getting a 32GB card, and don't need an extra one. So, hopefully this should be a great deal!
Please contact me with offers! =)
WTS: Dell Venture Pro 8 ($125)& OLED Vita /w 16 gig memory card ($115)
OLED 3g Vita + 16g memory card
Perfect conditions OLED Vita with trigger grip and 16gb memory card.
And Galaxy Gear 2.
200 for each?
150 for each?
Make an offer.
Oh.... Well balls.

Positive Feedback for Mr_Kuschels
Yeah, it wasn't customs fraud. I know that was already established, but as the one who had CloggerDude do it, I feel like I should answer anyway.
Costa Ricans are allowed to receive an item below $500 without taxes once every 6 months, as long as it was sent by a friend or family. Here's a page that explains it in english.
You didn't break any law, CloggerDude, don't worry (and neither did I). No Interpol team is coming for you
I just don't want my reputation hurt because of a misunderstanding. People who know me here should know that I would never "trick" anyone into doing anything illegal for me, and I take such accusations very seriously.
From the OP:
Doesn't matter if it's common or not. Don't talk about it on the forum, and don't offer it as a service. I understand accidents happen, but we won't need or want an explanation here.
Not trying to sound angry (because I'm not - at all) or seemingly point any fingers, but we can't approach this kind of transaction or discussion here. There's way too much on the line.
And everyone here is sending money on PayPal as a gift to friends/family?

That's not what it looked like the way you responded and quoted the OP rules.I was reacting to that comment, not the overall situation.
It's actually really not illegal to send PayPal as a gift to friends/family. It's very much YMMV but there's no law against sending my good friend terrisus a gift of $10 and him sending me a gift. FWIW. I realize it's a bit of a gray area.

Otherwise it wouldn't have prompted the discussion.
And the difference between Goods and Friends/Family on PayPal are pretty much just whether you want to be covered by PayPal's "protections" at the cost of a fee or not.
This is exactly right. The problem is, some people still think that they deserve some type of protection when they pay with Friends and Family. There have been numerous times on here where someone didn't receive the item they paid for with Friends/Family and people have suggested that they ask PayPal to refund them their money. That's not how the system is supposed to work though.
If you want the protection, then pay the extra cost. It's really not that much more.

Now i feel like a guilty party to be avoided.
