The game freezes and goes black, causing me to reboot via the reset switch or soft-powering off.


I installed, reinstalled the drivers. I also changed the sound/sound acceleration for XP to basic and turned on Eax3. I thought I had it licked, but after five munites of heavy play it freezes.

The patch doesn't reccodnise that COD is installed.


I don't know why this would happen.

you using a no-cd patch ? also have you just got Call of Duty installed or the expansion as well ?

yeah, I use no-CD patches all the time, and it's the most usefull thing. I don't have to go dogging around my room/deak area for a book of CDs.


I don't see how installing a new graphics adaptor would cause glitching when it worked perfectly on my Geforce4 4200 64mb.




* at least visualizations with my music programs look sweeter.



* and this has 1/2 the pipelines of a 16-pipe card, but it costs 1/2 as much.




I hope there's not that much of a problem fixing what's wrong. I hope i don't have to reinstall. Also, I put FarCry on High detail and I got crashes.
