I thought the single player element was crap...not a scratch on the original, it's just not as tightly scripted. You constantly find yourself following allies into rooms only to find they havent cleared them (as they did in the original) so you get shot in the face from behind the door while your allies continue running through the room. The only bit that measured up was the plane segment and that was only really uber cool because it looked so pretty.
