I like Maximillian's idea that there will be a rift in the judging committee between Erdtree and Something else(Astrobot?) enough that something else (Balatro) might sneak through the cracks for a surprise win.
I can totally see his scenario that some of the judges will not be happy seeing Elden Ring there for a second time and some will be happy.

I hope Black Myth wins simply because it was a total dark horse. It appears to be a fake game, no one could believe a non-western no-name dev could pull it off - but they totally did. It's not the greatest game ever made, but it's a heck of an achievement and well worth celebrating in my eyes.
Erdtree was a pretty big disappointment for me. A bloated slog that ultimately landed about a 7/10. It's impressive scale for an addon, but it's as empty as it is large. Despite Elden Ring being an all-timer for me, I won't play through the DLC again.

Balatro or Rebirth is going to win. Rebirth will cancel out the Refantazio, unfortunately.

Its definitely a hard year to predict, but i think its Astro Bot.
Rebirth = lower chance just because Remake got RPG in 2020 and this time they will give Metaphor me thinks
Balatro and Wukong = very low chance
DLC = no chance
Metaphor = high chance but i lean on Astro Bot just because there is too much RPG in there and they will lose votes to each other.

It will be Elden Ring DLC. I beat it on both PS5 and Series X. After beating them, I have deleted my game saves so that I may not be tempted to simply jump back in. I’ve completed the game 100% twice.

I voted metaphor : new IP, very highly rated by reviewers and highly regarded by core gamers. My backup would be Astrobot, Sony game, not a sequel and very well received across the board.
The rest are all been there done that, black myth loses based on the judges and the comments the developer made about D.E.I.. I agree with the developers but it won’t play well when 30% of the judges are D.E.I. adjacent. I don’t think Balatro is game of the year material based on how this show rolls.
