Heh, I like that thread title.
Anyways, in past workout threads I told everyone that I had crazy schedules and stuff and some people called it a fucked up life and I agree to an extent.
I work in the oil industry and on drilling and service rigs, It involves heavy lifting and all that jazz. Pick up heavy objects of all sorts and sizes, wrenching stuff up with pipe wrenches all the time, and running up and down the rig stairs quite a bit (around 3 stories of stairs).
But at the same time I know that it won't really help my health/physique if I maintain bad eating habits. I also know that the lifting doesn't focus on one group of muscles on my body. When I have to lift a 200lb pipe, I fling it onto my shoulder right quick, rather than slowly lifting it. It's not the same as working out obviously.
Another problem (perhaps the biggest issue) is that I work day after day after day for 2 weeks (then got 1 week off) and my muscles have no time to recuperate. AFAIK, the rest period is very important when it comes to forming new muscle mass, am I right?
Is there anything I can do different to turn WORK, into a WORKOUT? Heh.
Food wise, any supplements and stuff I should be taking? Eat tuna every lunch?
TIA to those who are able to share some wisdom.
