Can I just plug an NTFS drive into a Mac running OSX and read all my files? Can I write to the drive?

Thanks.

Yup. 10.3.4 and below can read NTFS drives. 10.3.5 and above have limited write capability. I've used it on an external USB drive, it works well enough. NTFS permissions may not work all that well, but at least you'll be able to write to it.

Yep, works fine. Requires 10.3.x. 10.4 brings NTFS to the same full class citizenship of the OS alongside the Unix file system.
