So mt knowledge of firearms is limited to basic cleaning and assembly of the guns my father has, this is a song from a movie about Lyudmila Pavlichenko, i had seen it years ago and the section in the below didnt stand out to me then but this was also on tv today and it did stick out to me.

Is she firing an empty casing? And its supposed to be some kind of trick shit with loading? I thought it was in reverse but her hand looks as if she is closing the bolt not opening

Im not going to download and rewatch just to see if it actually was in reverse. Does anyone know what its supposed to be? Its at 2:58

Weird, casing looks animated, empty and to be extracted while her movement does suggest that she is closing the bolt.
Maybe they recycled part of the acting to not have to reshoot but were fine with the lack of accuracy.

Disclaimer: I'm a no-gun having eurobong but I watch a lot of gun related media.

Yeah not only is it empty, but the primer is facing the wrong direction.

She's closing the bolt, clearly cycling another cartridge into the chamber. It is CG though, the empty casing wouldn't just be resting on the open bolt, it would have/should have been flung out by the extractor. Animation team doing a bad job, I believe they were just trying to make it look cool rather than real.
