Sounds like MGS3 actually offers some closure to the questions from MGS2. Hopefully Half Life 3 and Halo 3 do the same.

Actually the HL2 ending has grown on me immensely. Closes no doors, all outcomes are still possible. I reckon we'll get answers some day. Just not now
