We should have some sort of thread of journalists on this site and a review of their credibility.

Then create a blacklist of terrible journalists to avoid.

If its an article he posts he usually has a good source of info unless he states its an opinion

If its a Twitter post or something brought up on his podcast its 99% a guess on his part and he is usually not good at guessing

I agree. There are too many shitty people given the time of day and Jez is one of them. The shit that rolls off of his fingers barely counts as rumor anymore.

Not defending this guy, but who could everyone agree on as being an acceptable source for anything outside the company themselves?

If we were to cut those threads, we should probably cut the other "content creator / journalist" related threads. Between random "drama" and information that's not solid it's all over the place.

You might not like him or discussions about him but as soon as you ask the mods to enforce a ban on him or related discussions you are putting GAF on a slippery slope to banning all sorts of sources and discussions leading to more arguments and moderation around that.

Just deal with it.

He is an important person. He has a blue check mark by his x handle. His opinions mean more than your average Joe. He's connected to the induthtry.

lmao somebody is literally suggesting what I've just warned about

Oh yeah, I'm sure the mass ravings of Gaffers will be a great judge to what journalists work we should be able to cite.

Good lord.

I propose a new feature. You select specific words and the system auto ignores all current and future threads that have those words in the subject.

They won't do that because they WANT to get angry about it. A lot of people seem to log onto GAF daily to find something to get angry about.

Why on earth would you? He's a source of great drama, enraging fanboys on all sides variously, and driving traffic to the site.

I'm not for blacklisting, but something like a community note saying this journalist is full of bullshit or something like that.

Please don't ban him.

I enjoy the meltdowns, and also the fact that Topher Topher is forced to follow him. That's some sweet sweet schadenfreude I would be missing out on.

You should all be thanking me for bringing Jez to GAF as an endless source of entertainment. Without me, you would never know what a real life titan looks like.

I'm curious to know who's forcing everyone who doesn't like discussing Corden's views to take part in these threads? Who's got a gun to your head?

You should call the cops when whoever that is sleeps or whatever and say there's a guy here who holds a gun to my head and forces me to read and comment on certain threads on a games forum.

How about if he has real leaks which he does sometimes we discuss the leaks instead of him?

He's obnoxious and he's not worth talking about, but he gets info... we don't need a thread on every dumb tweet he makes nor do we really need threads on his dumb opinions.

I'm not about blacklisting things but this forum community could do better about threads in general, tend to have the same topic in 3 different forms on the front page often. Like one interview becomes 5 threads.

As long as its stated in the title, its easy enough to ignore. It's what I typically do. People here seem to enjoy him though since those threads seem to get many replies.
