I was 11 when I saw Tom Henke (Blue Jays) blow a save in Fenway Park.. This time I'm headed to Rhode Island (save the jokes please, I know you guys don't really consider it a state) on Tuesday. I am also travelling to NYC on the 27th and staying a night.

Suggest some cool things to check out in both NYC & Rhode Island.. or perhaps some US-only stuff that us deprived Canucks are missing out on.. (Boxing Day sales to look out for?). I want to catch one of those 'pretty much free' deals we always miss up here. :(

I plan on taking a couple hundred photos, so what are some nice places to visit?

I went to the states twice in the last few months, once to Boston and once to New York.

In New York I'd suggest going to Times Square obviously and go at the top of the empire states building. It's a must!

Or that no one considers it significant enough to ever be mentioned rather (Rhode Island)

Should I wear this t-shirt on the trip?

Heh "Boxing Day" sales in the States :D

...anyhow, I don't think you'll have any shortage of stuff to do in NYC. And personally, I find even the minor differences between stuff in Canada and stuff in the US pretty interesting... for me a day trip to somewhere like Montana is entertaining enough.

Probably not, but that's just because I'm not a fan of novelty t shirts.
