Ryu is a dude so it's fine (as it should be)

When they will reveal Cammy Kotaku and the other lowtier journalists websites will make 10 articles to complain about her sexy look.

Luke still don't do it for me tbh, he looks like Dante in the ninja theory DMC game, which isn't flattering, but who cares it's a fighting game so there will be bunch of characters.

Anyway summer dude it's so fucking far hhhhhhh can't wait.

Kazuhiro Tsushiya mentions in his Twitter bio that he's now in charge of Street Fighter and Mega Man franchises, so he replaces Ono as he one in charge of the SF series (remember that Ono wasn't director or producer of SFV, he was executive producer, guy in charge of the series and was also in charge of building the Capcom eSports division):

Some of Kazuhiro Tsushiya's previous works:
  • Teppen (Capcom brand supervisor)
  • Mega Man 11 (producer)
  • Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 (producer)
  • Capcom Arcade Cabinet (producer)
  • Super Smash Bros. 3DS+Ultimate (Capcom brand supervisor)
  • Project X Zone 2 (Capcom brand supervisor)
  • Asura's Wrath (producer)
  • Capcom Classics Collection: Reloaded (producer)
  • Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo (programmer)
  • Mega Man 7 (programmer)

I wonder how advance the development is, and when it's plan to release? I would say Q1 2023 release date. And o think they probably have around 7 to 12 characters working in the game, with 16 to 20 for final roster.

Oh Fuck me how am I suppose to wait until summer for gameplay hhhhh

I didn't like this art style. Visuals have some strange blurry yellow filter. Ryu looks like a splicer from Bioshock. It could explain that big balls though.

So, nobody is talking about the toenails made out of flesh??? 🤢

Playstation console exclusive?

As usual Jez and Nick are only making a personal guess with no insider info. When the hackers stole Capcom info, they shown some mails including two Capcom mails listing Street Fighter 6 as a PS4, PS5, XBO, Xbox Series and PC game.

In addition to this, the SF6 trailer and press release doesn't mention platforms has not been included in the PlayStation, Xbox or Nintendo youtube channels and doesn't appear in the PlayStation blog, something that would indicate exclusivity or at least a marketing deal.

didnt know they could use RE engine for a fighting game, they already look 100x times better than 5 but we'll see
We don't know which engine uses. The art style or game genre are totally unrelated of the game engine. They can make realisttic or cartoonish games with any engine. Capcom Arcade Collection or Ghosts 'n Goblins Resurrection did use RE Engine. I assume prettty likely SF6 will use Unreal Engine in order to reuse some code from game modes, frame data or maybe even animations.

These nails, plus the lighting of these shoes (notice the bottom side of the frontt) and the flickery shadow of Ryu's head projected in his chest makes me think it's an in-engine cinematic -maybe even running in real time- instead of a CG trailer.

You haven't released a good new fighter since 2001.
I suggest you to play Street Fighter V and Ultra Sreet Fighter IV. If you play them you'll realize they are awesome.

Not really going to get excited till I get gameplay but I hope they say soon if it’ll be multiplat or not (signs pointing to yes but who knows for sure), and what the starting roster count will be. SF5’s starting roster was pretty anemic.

Also bring back my boi Sean so I can do basket ball mixups.

It looks exactly as expected, hard out from me. Visual realism is right alongside announcing your next game is open world, its a signal of complete creative bankruptcy and in this industry its inevitable. After a generation of disappointing, cheap feeling fighters and now with SFVI looking like fucking Mortal Kombat I think I'm done with the genre. DMC V looked like shit too, I miss the days when Capcom had style.

Same, I was hoping for a 2d / 3d style akin to Guilty Gear, I need a different visual style. Like when I first saw Alpha/Zero in the arcade, the style was so fresh. This looks stale.

I hope darkstalkers collection does well.

A lot of talks a while back with Shinobi over at era mentioning Capcom wanting to bring that series back. Well this is how you gauge it I guess. Not going to lie, I prefer the look of SF V over the hyper realism they are going for in SF6. That game is a ways off, hopefully we get more info at EVO.

I did not wanna believe the hype! SF VI will start out with 10 characters, then you'll have to spend $896 to unlock 6 "seasons" worth of content, 42 characters, 320 costumes/skins, and 30 stages.

Definately gonna pick up Fighting Collection!
Man fuck modern fighting games.
I flat out ignored guilty gear because of this fucking bullshit.

Also collection day 1 physical on switch for me

Back in early 2020 it was planned to be released in the October-December 2022 quarter according to a Capcom roadmap stolen by the hackers. But with covid pretty likely has been delayed some months. Many Street Fighter games have been released in February, so a February 2023 release would fit.

It would also would match Yoshinori Ono's words when he said many years ago that they planned to support SFV series for as long as they supported the SFIV series, so that would give an idea of when they planned to release SF6 (SFIV and SFV releases are separated by 7 years, if we add 7 more we get Feb. 2023). He also said they wanted to see the first next gen games published to see what the new tech could offer to the fighting games, so they could design the game from scratch around it. This would mean to enter into full production shortly after PS5 release and would also fit with a late 2022/early 2023 release.

The collection looks amazing. RE Engine being used for SF6 is something I've always been craving.
Still don't like Capcom putting that Jake Paul clone on the forefront. Sounds like they want him to be the mascot or the #1 face of the franchise. I beg to differ but we'll have to see ths summer.

Now Ryu's face is covered in muscles too.
I hoped Capcom would take a page from Arc System Work's beautiful art direction and dial back the series to a 2D look again.
They probably don't have the expertise and/or think it'll scare away western audiences.

Red Earth is nothing special imo, but its cool that its finally being ported. All CPS3 games are available on console now.

I buy this collection for Vampire Savior.

I had hoped that the "no platforms announced" thing would've made it pretty clear to those in denial of SF6's PlayStation console exclusivity that they would be better off taking their L now and not when the game gets properly introduced as such later in the year.

I guess some of you never learn.

So they finally gave Ryu a beard to make it look like he aged. Well, about god damn time. SF5 he looks awful, hope this one makes him a good service.

I'm all hope to see this getting a better treatment than the failed SF5 at launch. Do also hope it plays more like SF4 series.

This is probably controversial, but I’m glad they went with a more realistic approach using the RE Engine instead of an anime or cel shaded style. Don’t get me wrong, I’m definitely an anime fan, but I get tired of seeing literally all 2D fighters look so similar to each other in art style and graphics imho. Games like Guilty Gear Strive and Granblue look nice, but most of them look pretty underwhelming to me especially compared to 3D fighters. Can’t wait to see more SF6. Hopefully it looks comparable in-game and like a true generational leap.

Meh. Just like what I thought, 3D models with comical body proportions. And paint strokes. How original
Another SF4 and SF5 looking sequel

I love SF but I already have 4 and 5. Wanted something new looking and more old school, not the same shitty style as the 2 previous games

And if this isnt set after SF3 then wtf….

Report me if I continue to console war
The topless guy kinda looks like the hulk.

They really upped his steroids.

Which is a bit silly. I know they were really muscular in the last game but this is just to much bulk.

If it's another 2D game with similar mechanics, I'm probably out. Was hoping for some kind of reboot, or EX game honestly after 4 and 5 being a bit lackluster.

Instead it looks like they took the art style of 5 and injected some protein powder lol. I can respect that, but I am likely not buying it. Still always fun to watch the trailers and watch some gameplay online though.
