Le site japonais FamiColumn dévoile quelques informations concernant le nouveau jeu historique de Capcom sur PlayStation 2 intitulé Sengoku Basara. Le jeu mettra en scène les légendaires Samouraïs Masamune Date (1567-1636) et Yukimura Sanada (1567-1615) dans la période de guerre civile au Japon, les voix des deux personnages seront réalisées respectivement par Kazuya Nagai et Soichiro Hoshi. Ce projet sera produit par Hiroyuki Kobayashi (Devil May Cry, Resident Evil 4) et le Character Design sera signé Makoto Tsuchibayashi (Devil May Cry, Shinobi). Sengoku Basara devrait sortir cet été au Japon sur la console de Sony. Rien d'officiel pour le moment.

Kobayashi is producing a new title for PS2 which will feature the samurai Masamune Date and Yukimura Sanada.
The game will be out this summer in Japan.

There was a trailer for this on the bonus dvd that came with DMC3 for the people who actually *cough* *cough* bought it

On one hand the game looks great running at 60fps with 5-10 enemies on screen and some beautiful animation (decent voice actors too). On the other hand it's a guy in a big open area (grass/dirt) surrounded by 5-10 guys circling around him as he takes them all out in a combo.

...So yea it's Capcom's entry into the Dynasty Warriors ripoff collection. Could be good if you aren't sick of the genre yet ^^;

not sick of DW yet but I haven't bothered with any of the clones, 5-10 enemies won't cut it if Capcom's trying to take on DW, it might be a good time for them to make a 3D Final Fight instead cause at least that wouldn't be directly under DW's shadow

Actually no fog from the clips. Big outside grassy area with lots of enemies. But like the Dynasty Warrior games there is nothing in the enviroment. Just a huge empty space to beat people up.

If there's nothing official up, I'll rip it tomorrow after work. I got the strap + a "killer 7 special dvd" with DMC3. Though despite the name it just has the same Killer 7 trailer from Bio4 and has Demento/Shadow of Rome/Basara trailers.

I want Chaos Legion 2 :-(
Had more fun with Chaos Legion than any of the Dynasty Warriors games.

Popping in to lend my support to Chaos Legion. Ended up liking the game much more than expected, and it also matched my preference for the Western-styled mass hack-n-slash games (Chaos Legion, Drakengard, KUF).

It seems a new engine.
There's absolutely no fog and all the rest is also better.
