I used to buy any piece of shit 2D Capcom fighter. But this one was the title that made me stop.

The boxart is the best looking thing this game has.

I'm hoping that next generation the characters can look like the artwork in-game...

But seeing how Capcom fighters still look the same for so many years, I doubt this will happen.

I honestly think it's the worst Capcom fighter to date. At least SNK Vs. Cap Chaos had those new sprites. This is just the lowest of the low. It really justifies every nasty thing anyone ever said about Capcom.

I'd rather play the SFEX games...

Honestly, anyone interested in buying the game should go to one of the enthusiast fighting websites and read discussion about it there. The GAF hate is strong with this one, with the usual "worst game EVAR" (until next month, when a new target is worst game EVAR) dismissals.

You'll find people mindlessly hating on it for not having GGXX graphics on those sites as well, but you'll also find real discussion about the GAME and how it PLAYS. Which, a lot of people are playing it and enjoying it a great deal for the gameplay and character matchups.

bad levels
and lack of characters.

with a title like this you would expect a little more than 20 characters. I give capcom credit for puting in Read Earth charcters, but I would have liked to see project justice in there or any other capcom based character as well. The game plays good, but unfortantly thats not enough to get my wallet to open. maybe $10.

Seriously. The re-use of sprites (which I don't even mind to be honest) is just the surface. There should seriously be at least 30 characters. Where are folks from Cybernator and the such?
