Capcom teases new PS4 game

Sony owns Bloodborne, not From Software, and Sony Japan is co-developing it. While Sony may not own Deep Down, it appears they are co-developing it, or at least have some part in the creation process. Both of these games go along with exactly what I stated: I doubt Sony's going to publish any big budget third party exclusive that they don't own or aren't co-developing this generation. According to what little we know and what little research we've done, it looks like Capcom is the one whom is Publishing Deep Down.

Fake Edit: Looking back at what I said, I used "are co-developing" when I should've said "aren't co-developing". The original grammar looks like it states that Sony won't publish games that they ARE co-developing :p that's just silly of me.

If Capcom is utilizing Sony's help with Deep Down, it's really not far fetched for them to be getting assistance on another property, even an older property like DMC. If Capcom needs help jumpstarting a title because of a lack of familiarity with the technology and development of Panta Rhei, I could see Sony lending a hand.

Devil may cry please. I really liked DMC, I don't know why people hated on it so much.

And this herein reinforces just how idiotic the naming convention of the reboot was. People are inconsistent at best.

Mainline numbered games will always remain action horror, and co-op story will never go away from RE. It sucks but the truth, even the shitfest RE6 managed 5-6 million sales.

It's over 6 million now according to Capcom's site.

Can't wait for more of that combat system.

*shrug*

i thought its gameplay was mediocre compared to the older titles. it was way too easy. its story was easily the worst part of the game, and I think it was one of the worst put together stories i've seen in a game in a long time.

in all honesty though, i'm glad you enjoyed it. i really am.

God Hand 2 or God Hand Reboot.

Pls.

After the DmC debacle I wouldn't be surprised if Capcom is vetoing any reboot plans for a while. Plus isn't the entire God Hand team no longer at Capcom?

My heart wishes for a Dragon's Dogma 2, but this is Capcom we are talking about.

This has been discussed quite a lot. Just put DMC in the search field up top and you will find the many, many, many, many threads going over it.

Personal opinions: bad combat, bad writing (not that Devil May Cry is known for good writing but at least the older games was funny in a hammy way), horrible rendition of Dante for the Twilight generation, way too easy, good level design.

Devil May Cry 5 I believe!

DMC going exclusive would actually not be a good thing IMO. A lot of new people experienced the series on 360 and on PC. I will have to suck it up and take it but I vastly prefer DMC being multiplatform.

I'm not going to argue that the franchise's overall history of writing hasn't been sketchy. But i'll still defend DMC3 as having acceptable/good writing as long as i humanly can. I'll also defend that
Arkham
is an actually well written villain.

Anyone who enjoyed DmC writing and found DMC franchise writing to be bad is a liar and should be ignored. DMC is no shakespeare but was never trying to be serious, DmC on the other hand... holy shit was that unbearable.

You all know its going to bed DMC with the OLD Dante. Wait and see for yourselves ;) So yeah the HEAD turning is going to be them going back to the old Dante.

Yeah, the worst parts of the Devil May Cry franchise tend to be when it tries to take itself seriously. That's when you get bad shit like "LIIIIIGHT" or "KYRIE!" that makes you openly cringe.

DmC as a whole took itself way too seriously, not to mention pretty much constantly tried to shove its "message" down your throat as much as it could.

again, why do they want to kill off one of the few sources of their constant revenue?

Don't see why expanding the franchise to other platforms would 'kill' it tbh. If they released it on PS4, there's no reason they couldn't keep releasing it on 3DS also.

That said... I hope it's nothing to do with Monster Hunter personally. Those games are boring as fuck imo.

I'm in no hurry to see any version of Devil May Cry show up again either if I'm honest.

I like the serious parts of DMC they can be charming/ narming.

But i dont believe in DMC 5 until i see it with my own eyes. All Capcom rumor threads are like this.

All these people saying Mega Man, DMC5, or Onimusha...

what the fuck? Are you just trying to break hearts...?

we all know its gonna be a Resident Evil-themed arcade shooter
