I'm thinking about selling my DVD copy though -- it's a great movie, but it's a bigger hit on my checkbook than I'd like. It's cool that the legit version is the only one with the DTS-ES 6.1 Discrete soundstrack, but I'll prolly still put it on ebay...

Oh shit, thought meant you meant Hideaki Anno, thus my "wtf"

Another plus for the movie imo is the music, which was fantastic, ironically enough composed by another Evangelion Alum, Shiroh Sagisu who was already responsible for the fantastic music in the Eva TV/Movie

Im glad I bought the DVD now that I know Dreamworks will release it in the US, just looking at the cover art for GITS2 makes me ill :X

beautiful movie and great music but I think some of the rock and roll tunes were very bad choices and when theyd just pop in, it would come off as real cheesy....but other than that, the music was great.

story, somewhat convulted wierd shit but still enjoyable, i guess.

Its a must see movie if just for the visuals alone tho.

With that said...Who is the Female Neo Sapien?

She is fuckin HOT

Gorgeous visuals, but geez....after the initial
Tetsuya-Black King fight (shortly after tetsuya is brought back to life)
the plot just lost me. That fight was great, robot busting hawt action, etc...then it turns into some kind of incredibly convoluted morality play. Wierd.

Stunning to watch it motion. And I dig the suits nifty faceplate-thingy.

Yeah it's like Hero in a way -- well filmed, but the pacing is off... very effective in generating an emotional response from the viewer though.

I think hero was much better.

Everything just felt RIGHT imo. even the pacing.

but yea i agree with the effectiveness point of generating an emotional response thing.....i was "moved" more than a few times during that movie.

peace
