Castelvania DoS - IGN review is UP

Dawn of Sorrow doesn't take the Castlevania series to enormous new heights on the Nintendo DS, but that's what makes it so fantastic -- the development team has taken what worked on the GBA and built off that foundation, solidifying what worked and what could be improved, all the while offering a modest assortment of new elements specific to the Nintendo DS platform. The final product is what is clearly one of the best Castlevania games in the series, and an absolutely top-notch, beautiful, and most importantly, fun DS game that doesn't try to push a lot of unnecessary touch-screen "gimmicks."

This is what I love about the DS.

You can have a perfectly normal game like Castlevania that is enhanced from the previous games in the series but still not innovative.

Or you can have a great interactive experience never-before offered in another game that was just shipped today (Trauma Center).

would you be happy if I say I'm buying both? :D

I picked it up on GAFs recommendation. Its awesome.
Not the easiest thing ever. Which is good. Only played a little bit.. beaten Balore and moved onto the next section, fought through a few rooms and gotten my next set of Equip slots. I love the animation and music, the gameplay is slick...

How much of Julius Belmont do we see?

1. castlevania isn't a vindication of the ds design; it's an illustration of how little it does for games

2. there have been all sorts of stupid surgery games on pc

that said, CASTLEVANIA GET

Just got it today.. Played it for 5 minutes (at work) and I have to say the animation on the DS is alot better than the GBA.

I'll spoiler it so only read if you want to be spoilered.

once again big fat spoiler.

there is a way to unlock him and you get to play the entire game as him with a new story line, very old school with no potions etc it rivals the main game, no pause menu though and the controls are different, there are other surprises as well, if you want to know how to unlock him, I can spoil that too
