I feel as though the critical reception towards Stellar Blade was far too positive for anyone to claim that it was the game's only selling point. It's just that the stupid controversy regarding Eve dwarfed all discussion surrounding it.

I would say Stellar Blade was more than decent game but it also advertise itself being highly inspired by Nier Automata but in opinion just never as good as that game.

No of course not. The devs have constantly tried to weaponize fanboyism to drive sales of their asset flips. First it was Quantum Error just wouldn't be possible without the PS5 SSD, then they couldn't release their giant butt game because someone on PC might make the butt even bigger. Then it was that PC players were so annoyed that they wouldn't be able to play Code Violet that they started sending death threats.
Pretty sure their next game they won't be able to release on anything but the PS5 because you need a massive dick to play their game and everyone with a massive dick plays on PlayStation.

Stellar Blade was a great game, maybe the best or at least top 3 of its genre for this generation. And it wasn't advertised as highly inspired by Nier Automata. Despite yes, being one of the many different clear references.
